Raja The Great Movie Review

Raja The Great—First things first….Though I’ve fallen behind in watching the movie on the release date, I couldn’t stop myself from writing the review. Raviteja has proven again that he wont let his energy levels down in any case, not even if he is blind. Director Anil Ravipudi adopted a regular story but adding Raviteja’s blindness to the screenplay made all the difference. This was the first time where in a star hero played a full fledged blind role in a commercial flick and the credit goes to both hero and director to not only making it possible but also with a positive outcome.
Raviteja left no stone unturned to entertain us. He pulls off the role with ease and I believe this is his best performance till date. Though I’ve said this before, I would like to repeat that whenever Raviteja enters a scene no one else can act.
Mehreen’s career is glittering a lot these days with back to back movies in her kitty. Her role becomes crucial right from the beginning. She is pretty in most of the scenes and also hot in few of the songs.
Sreenivas Reddy as the hero’s best friend was entertaining and it is obvious that he was the best choice. The villain’s role played by Vivan Bhatena was designed giving a scope for the witty character and though I felt that if some known face could have been better, he also tried his best. Prakash Raj appears in a brief role for the first few minutes and goes away. Tanikella Bharani’s combination scenes with the villain are funny. Radhika as the hero’s mother suited the character.
Musiq by Sai Karthik becomes an added asset. Title song and Yenniyalo are peppy numbers and the dances also would impress you.
First half of the movie is entertaining with a perfect interval bang. Second half though appears dragged at times, it finishes off with a contentment. There are many scenes which appears impractical but can be disregarded considering the cinematic liberties.
On one note..don’t miss it. RAviteJA..the great….┬áRaja The Great
